In Loving Memories of Grandma

Welcome Home
One of the certainties in this life is tragedy.
But when it touches within our lives,
We cry so much we cannot see.
That we cannot see.
Through all the tears and pain that we feel,
We question what we believe.
We long to hold the ones we've lost,
But it just cannot be.It cannot be.
It's times like these we turn to each other.
Strengthen our bonds,Turning stranger into brother.
Forgetting all our past mistakes,Learn to forgive, learn to forgive.
No longer part of our daily lives,They've been taken away.
We wonder how we sustain ourselves,
And make it through the day.Make it through the day.
Though our loved ones may be gone,And you feel so alone.
When the end is finally near, They'll be there to welcome you home.
Welcome you home. They'll be there to welcome you home,Welcome you home.

Born on June 1, 1943
Deceased on February 2, 2007
borned and raised at Segamat, Johor... and live her life in Petaling Jaya, Selangor ... Malaysia

My grandparents love story began during highschool in Segamat, been dating for a long while before settling down at age 26. Grandma married grandpa on February 2, 1969 to the Chong family. Grandma was the 2nd eldest daughter of eight girls and three boys from the Lee family.

Shortly after the marriage, uncle Kin Kiat was borned, four years later, mommy was borned and followed by aunty Sze Ngee. The whole family moved to Petaling Jaya in the suburb of Kuala Lumpur. Life was difficult... but our grandparents have lots of determination and persistence to keep the family going for a better life. Grandma works very hard sewing and baby sitting to earn a living while raising their children. Grandma teach many values and provide great love to the family.

That is grandma holding mommy when she was just one year old. I do resemble like mommy when she was little.

Mommy's first birthday party. It was a traditional birthday party with lots of food and gifts. There were red eggs and ginger vineger served.

Their very first home in Petaling Jaya in 1974.

Many parts of their growing years in this first home. Lots of birthday celebrations and memories to recalled.

My very special moments with grandma when I was borned in July 2006. Grandma helped take care of me while mommy was recovering from her c-section operation and confinement period after delivery. Grandma fed me, carry me around and rock me to sleep when I refused to get to bed. Grandma even organized the full moon party for me. There were many guests whom grandma show me too. She was really proud of me being her first grandson.

This was our lastest and very last trip together. I was 5.5 months when I traveled back to Kuala Lumpur to visit my grandparents with mommy & daddy. We had a short vacation to Cameron Highlands on December 31, 2006. I am so glad to get to know my grandparents, spending this quality time with them was special. Never would I know that this was the last time I will ever have with grandma. I am deeply sadden by her departure.

"Your role as wife, mother, friend and grandmother will be treasured deeply in our hearts forever."

A real and touching lines about your mother's life and love for your family. Though it brought me tears in my eyes initially,it was later turned into joy after seing the fruits of her labour - 3 wonderful children and 2 beautiful grandchildren! May your mother's soul rest in peace with God forever....
